INSTRUCTORS
Please follow the link below if you would like to submit a new course to be offered for the 2019 Dodd short courses. All course proposals must be submitted by July 1, 2018 for courses in which you would like to teach. The Dodd committee will review your proposal at the Fall Dodd Committee meeting, and contact you with a decision by the end of September 2018.

NOTE:

You will log in to register using the email account associated with your membership.  If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link for assistance. If you are a new member and have NEVER registered for an event previously, you will need to follow the instructions to create a new account, then proceed with registration.

REGISTRATION
  Courses are listed by day and course start time; Click on the course title to access full information on the content, CEU's, and schedule.
  Pay close attention to the course duration; Example: Course "A" starts  at 1:30p 2/4/2019 and ends 2/7/2019 at 5:00p - which means it is a half day on 2/4 and full days 2/5, 2/6 and 2/7.
  If you schedule overlapping courses, you will receive a conflict warning prior to check out - please double check your schedule and resolve the conflict or you will be charged for all classes you have registered for.
  IF YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR SOMEONE ELSE: Be sure you register them IN THEIR NAME to avoid issues with attendance and CEU's. 
  READ THE REGISTRATION OPTIONS CAREFULLY! They are listed by DAY, then by START TIME and not necessarily in exact alphabetical order.

DEADLINES
  Early registration deadline: January 4, 2019
  Beginning January 5, 2019 all course costs increase by $10.00.
  UNPAID Registrations will not be held beyond January 18, 2019
  All cancellations and/or refunds will incur a $10.00 surcharge.
  NO refunds will be made after January 25, 2019
  Courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Course limits will be strictly adhered to. You WILL receive a registration confirmation. 

CEU's and CERTIFICATION EXAMS
 Certification Exams are listed as CRE1, CRE2, CRE3, CRE4, CRE5, CRE6, CRE7, and CRE8 - THERE IS NO COST FOR THE EXAMS or EXAM REVIEWS if you are registered for other courses  (Courses A - Z)
 For students/attendees who wish to attend the certification exam reviews (Course CRE1 and CRE2) and who have NOT paid for any other course, a $50 fee will be charged per review.
 Students/Attendees who do not have a state issued license and/or are preparing for the exams can not utilize the CEUs offered in 2018.
 NOTE THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS TO HELP PREPARE FOR THE EXAMS:
           For Exam CRE3 and CRE4 - Students should attend Courses A, G, CRE1, and CRE2
           For Exam CRE5 - Students should attend Course R
           For Exams CRE7 and CRE8 - Students should attend at least Courses A, B, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, and Q.

  No refunds will be made after JANUARY 25, 2019. All cancellations and/or refunds will incur a $10.00 surcharge. You may send in one check or PO to cover more than one person as long as the names of the persons covered by the payment are identified on the check or PO.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  New employees of all classifications. STUDENT PREREQUISITES:  An understanding from the student’s supervisor that each student both needs and desires to take this class.  Registration limited to 100.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  This 3.5 day course is designed for students that are seasoned mosquito control professionals with a minimum 5 years on the job experience. STUDENT PREREQUISITES: Completion of the Introduction to Mosquito Control Course.  Registration limited to 38.

8 hour Hazardous Materials Operations Level (Level II)  or 8 hour Annual Refresher Training for Level III students INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Government employees and first responders.  Note to all government employees:  Federal law now requires annual emergency response training for all employees that may respond to a chemical spill, regardless if employed by the private sector or local government.  For the training to qualify it must review specific topics as specified by OSHA and EPA.  This course fulfills those requirements. INTENDED AUDIENCE:  This workshop is intended for people new to mosquito control including office personnel, elected officials, and others interested in learning the basics related to the field. It is not intended to prepare participants for state certifications. Registration limited to 18.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Those whose main job responsibility it is to identify larval mosquitoes, those who perform surveillance work, or those whose job will be enhanced by the knowledge of being able to identify larval mosquitoes. Registration limited to 20.  STUDENT PREREQUISITES:  None, although some basic knowledge of mosquito identification would be helpful.  Students should bring a microscope and light source, preferably the ones that will be used by them at their district to perform identification work.  Please bring a dissecting and a compound microscope.
