The FMCA 2006 Spring Conference will be: May 17 - 18, 2006:

 FMCA SPRING PROGRAM in PDF format.

The TradeWinds Resort complex is a very large property - it is several blocks long and covers quite a bit of acreage.  There are 3 different TradeWinds resort locations along Gulf Boulevard - Sirata Beach Resort (5300 Gulf Boulevard), Island Grand Resort (5500 Gulf Boulevard) and Sandpiper Hotel & Suites (6000 Gulf Boulevard).  FMCA is at the Sandpiper!  There are other hotels that are not TradeWinds properties located in-between each of these TradeWind properties - making things very confusing.  Please be sure to avoid the confusion of going to the wrong TradeWinds location by looking for the Sandpiper.  There is a traffic signal at 6000 Gulf Boulevard - right at the Sandpiper entrance.  There is a small parking area in front (which is the conference area - that smaller parking lot is designated for daytime conference attendees) and a 3-level parking garage behind the conference area (FMCA meeting attendees are to park in the parking garage).  The front desk/hotel check-in area is located behind the parking garage - towards the beach.  It is a little confusing - the TradeWinds name is on all of these building and they all have the TradeWinds trademark blue tiles - so they all look very similar.  If there is a parking attendant on duty - just let them know that you are with FMCA and attending the meeting - you will be waived through.  This is the smallest and most intimate of the TradeWinds properties.  FMCA will most likely be the only group in the facility.  As a guest of any part of the TradeWinds - almost all of the TradeWinds amenities are at your disposal.  The staff at check-in will give a map and let you know what is available.

Pinellas County Mosquito will be celebrating their 75th anniverisary and invite the attendees to join them in a tour of their facility (new hangar and chemical and truck storage buildings!) immediately following the meeting.
