Power Point Presentation Guidelines
for the 2005 FMCA Fall Meeting

DEADLINE: 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2005
Tom Floore

Presenters using Power Point (computer) presentations should use the following guidelines:

1. Presentations are preferred in Microsoft Power Point® (*.ppt). We can accept the most recent versions of Power Point. Corel Presentations are acceptable, but please contact Tom first.

Let us know if you plan to incorporate video into your presentation.

2. We would appreciate receiving ALL Power Point presentations no later than 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2005. Again, the deadline is: 5:00 PM November 9, 2005. The A/V Committee wants to participate in the evening functions also. Confirmation of receiving and successfully opening the presentations will be returned as soon as possible via e-mail. As always bring a backup file with you.

3. Presentations may be emailed as file attachments to Tom Floore at: Tomfloo@knology.net or Tom@FMCA

4. Presentations need to be in IBM format and should not be larger than 25 MB. (Most presentations are less than 5 MB.) If the Power Point presentation is larger than 5 MB, please zip your file for a safer e-mail. Presentations may also be sent on a 3.5 floppy, Zip disk (250 MB) or CD (CD-R) via UPS or U.S. Mail and insured. Remember the mail is slower than e-mail so don’t wait until the last minute.

5. Presentations received at the Center after I leave Friday, November 11th
won’t be available to you at the meeting until you find me Sunday or Monday.

Mail to:

Please make sure that scanned pictures on presentations are saved into the presentation as GIFS or JPEG’s and at 100% or less. (Scanned pictures can be manipulated to any size once on a slide.)

PowerPoint presentations are loaded onto our computers. This avoids the possibility of trying to interface computers that might not be compatible with the LCD projectors or delaying the schedule of presentations while setting up another computer or rebooting a system.
